The Line Float is mainly used when fishing in obstacles. Its main function is to keep the fishing line or cord going vertically upwards from the assembly, so as to make it difficult for carp to get tangled in branches, trees, etc. The float is placed above the assembly by passing it through the eyelet. It can either be left loose, staying on or just below the surface (depending on the tension of the line or line), or you can fix it with a stop.
